Satsuki are the true show offs in the bonsai world, often shown in a class of their own.
Combining characteristics of small leaves, attractive bark & fine branching with a
spectacular display of showy flowers around May-June.
There are said to be thousands of different varieties from single coloured types to multi-coloured striped and throated variations with different colours and flower shapes and leaves. Currently there are around 500 that have been seen in Japan in the last few decades.
