These oak trees (on the left) were grown from very small acorns that have developed into very small leaved oak saplings compared to the normal sized counterparts (marked with red X).
I hope the small nature is a permanant feature.
 
These young trees have had a wire applied early in their development to get some shape and good bends into the trunk which would be impossible at a later stage.
They have also had the tap root pruned to encourage a good branching root structure.
 
The national tree of England. Generally very hardy and easy to care for, it should be grown outside all year with perhaps some minimal protection in winter. During hot summer days some shade would be beneficial.
