A classic subject for bonsai.
Harvested in 2023 and fully stratified.
I have tested these for viability and have had very good results with germinating them.
Plant 1cm deep in a plant pot of ericaceous compost.
They will not take long to sprout and start growing.
Germination can be erratic so don't throw them away if only a couple come up at at time. The others will come up later.
Keep protected over winter.
