Excellent material to get started with. This elm was air layered from 20 year old branches from a tree that was over 40 years old.
It has a very good nebari developing.
 
They are fully hardy and frost tolerant to minus 5 C. They are very easy to keep and train as bonsai. Feed well, prune regularly and re-pot into a Deciduous Mix every three to four years. Keep well watered in summer. Very good autumn colour that can include yellows, browns and reds at once.
