This tree has spectacular bright orange red flowers and at ten years old is making a really nice specimen.
The ramification is building steadily.
 
Chaenomeles are deciduous, usually spiny shrubs with simple leaves and clusters of cup-shaped red-orange, pink or white, 5-petalled flowers, solitary or clustered, in spring, followed by edible often fragrant green or yellow fruits. The flowers can attract birds, bees and butterflies.After spring blossoming is over you can prune the shoots and remove any dead branches.Never allow to dry out completely.
