A review of some of the new range of tools that I can highly recommend.

Tian Master Craftsman Series Scissors

These top of the range scissors are hand made by master craftsman to a very high standard. Made of a very robust, high quality stainless steel alloy, they will provide super cutting performance with endurance and strength. The cutting edge is hardened to a very high HRC-62 to ensure a sharp cutting edge that will last. The Patent design rivet provides smooth stability in the mechanism and means that your scissors will not need adjustments. The specially designed asymmetrical handle provide the user with a very comfortable grip to help with stability during use. The heavy duty body is made of the same steel 6mm thick to provide strength throughout the tool.

Tian Professional series Small wire cutters

I have been trying out these small wire cutters for a few weeks now and they are really very good. Designed to be kept in the hand while you do your wiring work so you dont have to keep putting them down and picking them up all the time. They look and feel like the original Masakuni brand which now cost around £100+ but they are a lot cheaper. In my opinion they are a great value for money and a good alternative for the Masakuni. They are made from a very similar high quality stainless steel alloy hardened to a very hard HRC55. They can cut aluminium and copper wire and are especially good and obviously easier to use for the smaller sizes of wire up to 3mm or 4mm. Very easy and comfortable to use. 4Cr13MoV is a stainless steel, used for making quality knives and similar tools where hardness and corrosion resistance is important. The Stainless steel is 4Cr13, plus 0.5% Mo (molybdenum) and 0.3% V (vanadium), to improve resistance to intergranular corrosion.

Tian Two Pronged Rake/Spatula 260mm long and made of 3Cr13 stainless steel I have tested this tool out and I can say it is a really good, sturdy rake. Made of quality stainless steel it is very tough and durable. A multi function gadget loved by bonsai practitioners worldwide. The spatula is not likely to bend when it is called on as a lever to get bonsai out of tight pots or to dig shallow holes. The rake is very efficient at combing roots out at re-potting time and removing weeds from the soil surface. A great tool I can highly recommend.

Tian Professional Series 200mm Bonsai Scissors Length - 200mm Material - 4Cr13Mov alloy Stainless Steel Hardness - HRC-55 These scissors are hand made and finished by master craftsman to a very high standard. Made of a robust, high quality stainless steel alloy, they will provide super cutting performance with endurance and strength. The cutting edge is hardened to a very high HRC-55 to ensure a sharp cutting edge that will last. A very nice pair of scissors in a price range that is quite affordable.
