Last week in the tunnel.

Last week in the tunnel has been a bit of a washout. Thanks to the weather its been hard to get anything done. The noise of the rain on the polythene makes it difficult to think so most days I called it a day by 1pm.

Some of the smaller cotoneasters have been pruned and are now on the website and some other bits and pieces were brought back into shape so they'll be ready soon.

There was a purchase in the form of a large wisteria. It will a great source for making several small sized, flowering examples of these beautiful trees.

The new stock of Akadama is due to arrive next week. Fernando has managed to make room in the small tunnel for the 100 bags that are coming. There will also be a bit of Kanuma for the azaleas.

Last Thursday John did a grand job of spreading out a good layer of hardcore so that I don't get my wheels so caked up with mud to take home and deposit on the kitchen floor.

A delivery of a few hundred mesh pots arrived 1.0 Ltrs round and 0.5 Ltrs square. They will be used to pot up some of the larger Black Pines, Itoigawa junipers and Sekka Hinoki for growing on.
