Downsizing the nursery stock due to poor health!!!

Due to I'll health I'm afraid I have to announce that it has become necessary for me to downsize the stock list and the sizes of the trees I am stocking.

After this past winters cold weather and a lingering chest infection on top of my emphysema, I find myself unable to keep up with the amount of work that having so much stock involves.

With that in mind, I will be reducing the number of species that I grow for a start.

I will be clearing out a lot of the sundries from tools to training pots and fertiliser baskets etc.

I will be selling off all the other more developed bonsai and pre-bonsai material as well as some of the large mother plant stock that I have used for propagating.

These will include some very large Japanese maples over eight feet tall with trunks around six inches thick. The mother plant wisterias and Korean hornbeam and my giant ancient olive tree with the hollow trunk will also have to go. The logistics of moving these will need discussing with the new owner.

There will be quite a few trees that will be put up for sale and some will be open to sensible offers. I just want them to go to good homes.

I will stop propagating crab apples, quince, callicarpa, cotoneaster varieties, cryptomeria, lonicera nitida, wisterias and a few others.

I will be able to concentrate my remaining strength on growing the Japanese black pine, Japanese red pine, Itoigawa and chinensis junipers. Of course I will try continue to propagate the satsuki varieties that I have and the Japanese and trident maples will also be staying on the list too.

If you wish to make an offer on anything please get in touch through the usual methods.
